Dr. Patricia Chiu received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School. Upon graduating at the top of her dental school class, Dr. Chiu was accepted into the prestigious University of Michigan Orthodontics Program, where she received three years of specialty training and a post-doctoral Master of Science degree. In 2001, she returned to Boston where she grew up to begin her orthodontic career. As a firm believer in evidence-based treatment, Dr. Chiu participated in research projects in dental and orthodontic schools. In September of 2005, she co-authored an article that was published in a major orthodontics journal, the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Chiu is an active member of many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists. When not taking care of her patients, Dr. Chiu cherishes spending time with her husband and young daughters, Avery and Audrey. She is an avid reader, has a keen interest in architecture, and has visited almost twenty countries.

Dr. Ben Smith is a board-certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is thrilled to be treating and taking care of patients in Norwood, West Roxbury and the surrounding communities, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a high attention to detail. As a native of Western Massachusetts, Dr. Smith takes pride in being both born and trained locally. He completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University in 2010 and went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Reproductive and Cancer Biology from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Dr. Smith received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While at Tufts, he received the AAO Senior Student Award, the American College of Dentists Award, and the Class Award for Outstanding Peer Support and Leadership. He was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) honor society. Dr. Smith completed his residency in orthodontics and earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc) from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction earned by fewer than half of all orthodontists, which reflects his commitment to clinical excellence and continuous learning and was honored with the prestigious Anthony A. Gianelly Award from the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists at the 2023 Yankee Dental Orthodontic Symposium.
